Sixth generation of showmen
I am Timo Kollmann — showman in the 6th generation. My roots go deep into the traditional world of the Munich Oktoberfest. My ancestors, including the Hochleitner, Pötzsch and Kollmann families, are among the oldest and best-known showman families at the Oktoberfest.
Over the decades, our family has been represented with numerous legendary rides, including the Bob Bahn rollercoaster, the Münchner Bahn 1 & 2, the Wildwasserbahn, the Jet Star and the Jumbo Jet. Spectacular attractions such as the Flic Flac ride, classic shooting cars, a cozy wheat beer garden and two Ferris wheels (outside the Wiesn) were also part of our family’s repertoire.
Since I was 18 years old I have been traveling with my bumper car “Scooter Zone” through the south of Bavaria, I am also represented at the Oktoberfest and proudly carry on the family tradition.
The next big premiere will follow in 2025: With the “Skylift “, a mobile observation tower with an impressive height of 91m and a viewing height of 70m, I will bring a real novelty to the Munich Olympic Park and the Wiesn.
After the Oktoberfest, the Skylift Tower will be located in Munich’s Olympic Park — where it will also provide unforgettable views.
